Pros
Work life balance
Average Leave and Medical policies
Cons
I have over 8 years of experience in IT and have worked across the healthcare and telecom sectors. I joined NatWest Group 18 months ago, and since then, nothing has gone well.
Due to constant restructuring, they completely dissolved our SRE Team and moved us elsewhere. Despite their promises that there would be no layoffs, they forced us into an "empowered product team model"—claiming it mimics Amazon—but in reality, they just split the team apart and placed members into domains that have absolutely nothing to do with their technical skill sets.
When I was moved, I was promised a role that matched my expertise. Instead, four months later, I was told my role had been "impacted" and that my last day would be the end of the month. I have now been placed in a talent pool with only three months to find an internal position. 😡
The internal recruitment process is a total sham. It feels like "fake recruitment" where managers simply hire their friends and family. There is a massive bias toward North Indian managers; it feels less like the NATWEST GROUP and more like a NORTH INDIAN GROUP. There is zero representation or respect for those from South India.
These managers engage in cheap office politics and make constant fake promises. The environment is rife with favoritism, where employees who provide "gifts" or other favors to managers are the only ones who get ahead. Furthermore, the partiality between UK and India employees is blatant and insulting. 🤮
This is, without a doubt, the worst company I have ever worked for. 🚫😤👎
