Pros
If you feel like getting respiratory issues, work here, because the clinics are moldy, leaky everywhere, and the ventilation is technically not strong enough for what you'll be breathing in. No matter how many "work order" cases you put in, cooperate finds a reason to ignore it. This literally goes for all the Chicagoland locations. Even clients notice it..
Cons
Low pay for RNs. They're getting rid of RNs in order to hire LPNs (technically by state law, not allowed to but they're doing it). You are back to back with client's non stop from morning to night and expected to complete treatments as quickly as possible, almost setting you up to fall behind, chart incorrectly, or rush a painful treatment for a patient which is risky and neglectful, but they'll push you to that point. Patients do complain all the time, it's a medical procedure that can be painful with long lasting side effects, if something happens completely unrelated to your technique and how you follow their protocols, they will fire you. But they are finding reasons to fire all the RNs to make way for cheap (illegal by state of IL) labor with LPNs.
There is such a high nurse turnover rate. Half the clinics in the district are low staffed and therefore still selling packages to clients (if they can after clients are spammed nonstop by corporate), and clients can't get in for an appointment. It's all a scam. The only people writing 5 star reviews are the cute NP's that work from home that take 5 minutes to finally attend what's supposed to be a "quick NP assessment." Any medical questions the clients would ask the NP's, they'd just say "Yea, if you have any questions, just ask the nurses."
Not to mention, their charting system has flaws to also set you up for failure. No EHR system should EVER auto populate something for you. theirs does, and if you don't catch it for some reason, it's on you too. Every day feels like you're walking into the dumbest type of "med spa." it's truly a joke. it's a one track mindset company focused only on sales.
As a healthcare worker, they expect unachievable sales from you. We went to school as healthcare workers, not sales. But you'll be written up if you don't make a sales, review, or whatever else goal they force on the clinics month by month... and the sales are literally the same every month. Client's catch onto all of this stuff in the company and I would say, in my experience working there and talking directly with these clients, about 80% know this company is cheating them. Which is why they don't want to buy anymore packages from them. But corporate will take it out on you and write you up. again, setting up for failure. No way of leveling up. No way to request time off that would actually be approved.
