Helps you get into graduate school

Pervasive sexism, unrealistic expectations, and difficult power dynamics - especially given that most CRCs are straight out of college and need a letter of recommendation to get into graduate school. At times, I also witnessed questionable research practices.

A lot of room for growth and a large network to work with. We have our own school, The Institute, where employees receive a 40% discount on tuition.

The starting pay for a lot of these roles is sometimes lower than the national average.

No cons really. The only thing that bugged me was how difficult it was to first get the primary care/insurance stuff, which was ironic since the employer is the hospital.
