Pros
Work life balance work culture
Cons
Promotions are contingent on a formal interview process, which may delay advancement opportunities for employees despite consistent performance.
Pros
Large teams, complex projects where as a QA engineer you can learn and grow. Distributed teams, you are exposed to different cultures and ideas, it's a dynamic work environment.
Cons
I was hired as a 1 day per week in the office role (Hybrid) but after 1yr it was changed to 3 days per week without notice/discussions. I have no one from my team in Romania, to be clear. There are no shared projects or work I can do in person with anyone else. It's also not announced oficially that they want people back in the office, instead various managers reach out privately to subordinates to avoid noise and mass complaints. They changed their tune without warning despite the fact that for me, this was negociated during the hiring process and we all agreed this was a digital-first role.
Pros
The office environment is very positive, making it a comfortable place to work. Additionally, some of the new projects are built using modern technology stacks, which provides a good learning opportunity for those involved.
Cons
One major issue is the lack of effort to retain talented employees. Many skilled individuals leave the company, which is also why I decided to move on. The recruitment process is not very effective, as it sometimes filters out strong candidates while hiring less qualified ones. In the past, the company provided great perks like team trips, events, and free food, but these benefits have been significantly reduced over time. Another challenge is the shortage of experienced senior employees, which puts extra pressure on juniors to handle complex tasks. Additionally, some Scrum teams suffer from poor leadership, resulting in excessive meetings and calls that disrupt productivity.
Pros
Best work environment and remote work environment
Cons
Interview process is bit difficult
Pros
Nice offices, cafeteria. No disparity based on religion, faith.
Cons
Only cost cutting. Fed up with it after having spent 20 years of my entire professional career here. No career growth. Compensation is not as per the standards and not based on experience and talent. Full story : I have on-boarded hundreds of customers to our product over past 15 years. Part of many deals. Lot of deals were cracked because I did the product demo and assisted during pre-sales as well as integration stage. Migrated customers from multiple legacy platforms to strategic one. Some customers wanted to cancel subscription but I assisted them getting on calls with them on daily basis even when I was out and made sure they stayed with us. Did product launches, pre-sales, post-sales support and lot. Given my entire life to this company but never been able to realize my dream. The dream was to relocate myself to either UK, Europe, US from India. I spoke to my bosses 12-13 yrs ago and have been continously bringing this topic but every time I have been told there is cost restriction. When I apply for different roles internally for other location I have always been told no relocation assistance is provided because of cost constraint. I have trained many many sales, customer success managers (CSM) etc however when I apply for those roles I am told no relocation can be provided. In many instances the hiring managers wanted to hire me but they don't have budget to fund relocation. I even told them that I can pay for my visa, flight etc just get me a job there but it never happened. In one instance I was interviewed for a CSM role in NY and was told by hiring manager and HR that I am the selected candidate and that they are working to get me relocated. HR even discussed the compensation details etc. After 3 months they told relocation cannot be provided because of recession etc. I wanted to relocate for a better life and earn good money for my family but LSEG has let me down. I am 45 and its difficult for me now to get a job else where in another country. I truly regret working for same company for so long and feel like a loser having ruined my career and dream. The problem is the hiring policy. They hire local candidates who has absolutely zero knowledge about product and content. They fully rely on us to support their customers however when we apply for same roles we are not entertained citing budget constraints and no relocation assistance.
Pros
Above industry salary for an internship
Cons
The interview process is competitive
Pros
Only brand name may look good on your resume.
Cons
Extremely unethical behavior — they extract all the work they need during probation and then discard employees before confirmation, regardless of performance. Misleading hiring process — the role promised exposure to modern Azure data engineering tools but delivered outdated, limited work with no real learning. No job security or professional courtesy. I was terminated abruptly and unfairly just before my probation ended, with no valid reasoning or HR support. HR is unresponsive and indifferent; exit processes are chaotic and disrespectful. The culture is worse than most contract-to-hire firms — no trust, no fairness, and no long-term vision for talent. Management lacks accountability and transparency, creating an environment full of fear and uncertainty.
Pros
- work life balance - you could work barely 2h per week and no one will notice
Cons
- everything else. - competent people are exchanged for cheaper slave labor from India. - great team culture, that had manager from the region, was killed after indian manager took over - legacy, unsupported technology, without any perspective for a full rewrite - work is mainly related to maintenance and support, if you want to grow here, a SE, forget it, especially in "Shared Technology" - company is relegating almost every role from USA and EU to Asia/Pacific (90% is relegated to India). There was a case of an employee who worked here for 20 years and was near retirement, and was fired, because 'leadership' wanted to relegate the role to India. Management has no moral backbone. - if you have indian manager, he'll assign to your team thousands of indians, who know nothing, do nothing and are experienced with nothing, without any Interview process on your side. So you can wake up next monday, and out of nowhere, you have some people assigned to your team without any input from the team side. - no processes, no impact in your role, incident resolution taking over your time on weekends, as well as deployments. - no chance at promotion or salary increase - salary lower than market rate for SSE. - i'm glad i'll be finally leaving this place, i just feel really sorry for the great people that i'll be leaving behind, that will be stuck working with incompetent employees.

Pros
Working with different countries and nationalities is as common as breathing. It makes up all our day-to-day work so cross-cultural silos is almost non-existent.
Cons
Constant reorganization (read: redundiation) instead of keeping real talent. They spend more in hiring and training new talent than keeping those who have been in the company 10-20+ YEARS. Employee satisfaction initiatives have gone down the drain. Anything that exists is only for show.
