What is the salary like at Firefly Aerospace?

Great benefits and competitive pay, great culture, exciting company and innovative. Company is changing a lot of leadership, but the new additions have been great with a clear view of the growth of the company.

As we're scaling manufacturing, growing pains are understandable. Sometime work demand may not meet a work/life balance.

Good pay, nice hours, reasonably package.

Drama, gossiping, like working in a Jr or High School.

Gain a lot of work experience very quickly. One year at FF is equivalent to 3-5 years anywhere else. Ground level employees are dedicated and great to work with.

No work life balance. Management has huge egos and will not listen to critique or reason. Managers lie for their own personal gain or to save themselves from mistakes due to poor management. They will intentionally burn you out. Their goal is to have a good engineer and work them to the ground. Management doesn’t listen to feedback. Management creates policy that they themselves don’t follow. They can’t consistently build a vehicle. Knowledge is not passed down because turnover rate is extremely high. The company is falling apart from the ground up. Zero career growth opportunities. They are trying too hard to be SpaceX but only bringing over the bad. Good boys club, managers promote each other and not the workers and engineers doing the work on the ground. They have money problems that they don’t share with employees.

Interesting subject matter. Lots of great and hardworking people.

Communication from management is abysmal. Management rarely backfills positions when good people leave due to uncompetitive pay. Manufacturing site is an hour outside of Austin. Engineers regularly work 50+ hours per week, and some weekends, but receive no incentives (bonuses, overtime pay, etc.)

Almost everyone is sociable and ready to work as a team. Social events. Passion for rocket science and spacecraft. Collaborative environment. Cool technology.

Engineering management being replaced. Too low pay for some high performing individuals. Upward mobility in a technical field not feasible without an engineering degree.

Projects changes often. Very fast paced. A lot of opportunities to learn

Nepotism and unfair pay if not on rocket operation
