Pros
The standard stuff:
- Pay is decent, and there's full transparency around increases and performance reviews.
- Accommodation for remote work, although management does push in-office work more and more lately...
- Massive variety of projects to work on, social clubs to join, learning opportunities to make use of etc. Your company may talk a lot about "culture", at Entelect it's not just talk.
Overall the staff at Entelect are great to work with - the culture tends to attract a younger, very social crowd (you'll need to learn to cope as an introvert, it can be overwhelming at first). Skills vary of course, but incompetence doesn't survive here, and you'll most likely work with some very talented people regardless of project.
Cons
Entelect is not a "big corporate", but almost all of its clients are, so you'll be working in a corporate environment regardless. If that's not for you, you're not going to have a good time here.
Pay is good, but no medical aid or RA contributions.
The culture is great to a point, but it can become a bit much at times. Big emphasis on socialising, joining clubs, events etc. Perhaps that's a feature not a bug, but it can sometimes feel like Entelect is a lifestyle more than a job, especially since a lot of this happens outside of work hours - it's not mandated, but you're expected to be an "Entelectual" through-and-through if you're aiming for leadership positions.
