What is working from home like at Cargill?

One of the biggest advantages has been the ability to work from home, which has provided a great level of convenience and improved work-life balance. Additionally, the company offers comprehensive benefits, including excellent healthcare, retirement plans, and wellness programs.

Unfortunately, the company recently had to implement layoffs due to performance issues, which has created some uncertainty about job security. While the overall experience at Cargill has been positive, these layoffs have cast a shadow over the future stability of the company.

Limited flexibility to work from home

WFH policy is good and work timing is flexible.

Firing unnecessary in India region. No plans for next 2 years. Management has no idea about the team in india. There is no decision makers in India. Every single thing needs approval from people in USA. Lot of micromanagement from Higher management. Team is good in India.

Cargill genuinely cares about their employees. I have a good amount of freedom and autonomy to get my job done in the way it makes most sense. I have a great culture and great coworkers.

Not a ton of room to grow when headquarters are in another state. More opportunities to work from home would be great too.

Global company with opportunities to travel to some exciting international locations. Provides opportunity to work from home. Poor culture as few employees in office regularly. Company is struggling financially and lay offs are happening - especially in function groups (HR, Finance, etc.).

Lay offs. Poor severance policies. Prior leadership actually treated employees as a valuable asset. Recent external new hire executives do not treat employees well and only care about the bottom line.

Paid decently well and had opportunities not available at other internships

Would prefer to work from home 3 days but they are firm at 2, maybe full-time positions are different
