What is the hiring process like at Cambly?

I've used Cambly since 2021 as a side hustle to deliver customized business communication training to global professionals — including executives, managers, and job seekers across diverse industries. The platform provides useful resources for tutors to enhance their lessons, and with a reliable internet connection, it's accessible from anywhere in the world.

The technical support area leaves much to be desired. The company would benefit from hiring engineers with stronger platform maintenance experience. It's frustrating when students and tutors receive unrelated canned responses, or responses that deflect obvious platform issues back onto the users — leaving them with no real solution beyond hitting the 'Refresh' button.

There's nothing positive to say about this company.

I have applied to work for this company four different times. And each time I have gotten denied. And they say that they cannot give personalized feedback as to why they don't hire teachers. Why do you say that you guys are hiring when you just turn away potential teachers. The pay is also extremely low for what students actually pay for and their package deals.
