Cons
Hard to access training courses, below market rate pay
Pros
Maybe the 401k match? Thats about it.
Cons
Pay is low for the amount of work piled on us, PTO hours suck, management seems all over the place. No career progression or raise opportunities
Pros
Good benefits, great environment, helpful with career growth
Cons
Low on PTO accrual per year
Pros
In some locations, the company will provide employees with a security clearance Higher pay than similar jobs Excellent healthcare Increase wage after getting security clearance Doing less work is rewarded
Cons
In some locations, all employees need to be able to obtain a security clearance but they limit this only to management Terrible management - it is almost as if supervisors need a monthly write-up quota to meet 6 minute tardiness grace period Virtually no career opportunities unless it is towards management's favorite Blocks further company advancement behind security clearance then slows the process to keep employees in the same position
Pros
An ideal position if you're ex military.
Cons
The onsite IT tech for the 89th MXG Executive Airlift at JBA is a unnecessary and unserious role. First, it's just a glorified Administrative Assistant job. Your typical day with the program will be putting in IT support tickets for end users, who have the ability to put in the ticket themselves they just chose not to. You have to do this for both Amentum devices, and military devices. Second, you will have limited communication with Amentum Corporate IT, which makes the role difficult. Your direct report isn't a member of the corporate or military IT departments, which makes the role extremely difficult. Third, you will have to earn a Security+ certification (if you don't already have it), however you will never use it in this particular role. The role maybe more ideal for a entry level IT professional, it has no growth opportunities, and is basically going to set you up for a better job somewhere else.
Pros

Employees find deep satisfaction in contributing to projects that have a meaningful impact on the world. Career Growth & Development: The company places a strong emphasis on employee development, providing access to a wealth of resources, including training programs, mentorship opportunities, and tuition assistance. This commitment to growth enables employees to expand their skill sets and advance their careers within the company. Diverse & Inclusive Culture: Amentum fosters a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected. This commitment to diversity brings a wider range of perspectives to the table, which in turn fosters innovation and creativity.
Cons
Bureaucracy and Processes: As a large company operating in highly regulated industries, Amentum can have complex processes and procedures. Some employees may find this bureaucracy can slow down decision-making and hinder agility. Limited Upward Mobility: Due to the size and structure of the company, upward mobility and career advancement opportunities might be limited in certain areas or departments.

Regular opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Supportive and approachable management that values employee input. Inclusive company culture that fosters diversity and creativity.
Cons
Occasionally faced challenges with communication breakdowns between teams. High workload at times, impacting work-life balance. Limited flexibility in remote work options. Advancement opportunities varied by department; not uniformly distributed.
