UNOPS Global Shared Service Centre (GSSC) is a global hub for cost-effective, high-quality transactional services. We enhance the operational capacity of UNOPS by providing standardized support in key administrative areas, with a core focus on personnel contract administration and payroll. The GSSC enables UNOPS offices worldwide to operate more efficiently by centralizing and streamlining essential back-office functions.
Under the direct supervision of the functional supervisor, the Administration Senior Associate, and the overall direction of the GSSC Director, as well as the technical guidance of PCG, the HR Associate is responsible for administering and implementing services, plans, and processes covering the array of Human Resources Management service lines for optimal employee and talent management, i.e. recruitment, learning, performance management, transition, organizational development, and contract management. S/he serves as the first contact for internal and external clients in resolving questions on processes and procedures and provides guidance and information related to HR initiatives and services to a wide range of UNOPS clients.

The HR Associate is responsible for supporting talent acquisition and HR administration processes, while contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. The role provides advisory support on HR-related matters and promotes knowledge building and knowledge sharing within the team and the organization. The effective and successful achievement of these results directly impacts the compliant execution of HR processes within the respective unit and contributes to efficient and effective organizational performance. This, in turn, strengthens the credibility of the organization as a reliable and effective provider of project services and management.
