Chargehand (Structured Cabling)

As a Chargehand, you will support the Foreman in overseeing the installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6A, and Fibre Optic cabling across a variety of operational settings. You will assist in guiding your team to ensure that all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with project schedules and budget expectations. This position will be based on the road covering counties, Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick, Cork, Carlow and Kerry. Responsibilities

• Support the Foreman with overseeing the day-to-day work of Technicians on the site to ensure a high standard of installation.
• Interpret technical drawings and method statements to plan and execute the team’s work effectively
• Ensure the team is in full compliance with Health and Safety standards and all site protocols
• Provide On-the-Job training for Technicians as required
• Provide hands on support for the installation and testing of structured cabling when needed
• Monitor all activity under your care and escalate any out-of-scope activity to Management

Requirements

• Experience in a Chargehand/Team Lead role on structured cabling projects, including large scale Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fibre installations
• Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencing employment
• Full driving license, access to your own transport and be willing to travel to multiple sites
• Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training are an advantage but not essential
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead your team and provide training when required
