Strong brand value undermined by poor management practices

Pros

Company brand value and pay, Global Leadership

Cons

Some managers let their ego affect their leadership. If you question or disagree with their decisions, even respectfully, there is a fear of being threatened with a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), regardless of your actual performance. This creates an unhealthy work environment where employees are afraid to speak openly or share feedback. Many talented employees have left because of poor management and the lack of psychological safety.

Decent pay but leadership and culture need improvement

Pros

Compensation is competitive and generally in line with market standards. The company has a well-established product portfolio and talented individual contributors across teams. There are opportunities to work on meaningful projects and gain exposure to global stakeholders.

Cons

My experience within the organization was far below expectations. One of the biggest challenges was the lack of alignment and collaboration among leadership, particularly within the India organization. Decision-making often appeared inconsistent, priorities shifted frequently, and employees were left navigating changing expectations without sufficient clarity or support. Rather than fostering a culture of teamwork and shared goals, there seemed to be an excessive focus on internal dynamics and stakeholder management. In many situations, energy that could have been invested in execution and employee development appeared to be spent on navigating organizational politics. Career growth was another concern. Advancement opportunities were not always transparent, and progression often felt difficult to predict. Employees looking for clear development paths, mentorship, and merit-based growth may find the environment challenging. While the company promotes a people-first culture, my experience suggested a disconnect between leadership messaging, HR practices, and the realities faced by employees on the ground. Employee concerns were not always addressed with the urgency, transparency, or empathy one would expect from a modern organization. Work-life balance and employee experience can vary significantly depending on the team and leadership group, creating inconsistent experiences across the organization. Overall, the company offers decent pay and benefits, but compensation alone may not be enough to offset concerns around leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and long-term career growth.
