      Pros

Great work culture. Everyone is incredibly kind. Competitive salary with really great progression opportunity. An environment that I have learned a lot in.

      Cons

Have offices in US and Ireland- sometimes leads to time zone overlap for calls but very very rare-Everyone is super accommodating.

      Great working place

      Pros

Nice people, great location (in Drogheda, no traffic jam like when you working in Dublin), Great leaders, Nice Cantine with free soft drinks and free breakfast on Wednesday - but Covid-19 sent staff to remote working (*_*)

      Cons

Heard they have improved on benefits and career progression since I left so won't mention any cons as those were my main points.

The outlook is more and more positive - Maybe now is our time?

      Pros

Changes in senior leadership have brought a renewed and more strategic focus on the next phase for Yapstone - not that previous leadership were wrong, but so much has changed in the last 12 months - fresh views have set us on the right path to make this company great again! Tough decisions that had to be made were communicated with compassion, transparency and sufficient detail to keep the workforce engaged. The necessary reductions in force in Drogheda were handled extremely well, feeling that people were in control of their destiny and were able to make the best decision for their career with the full support of the company Renewed focus on execution and delivery with accountability is refreshing

      Cons

Need to watch that we don't stretch ourselves too thin and bite off more than we can chew. COVID-19 has had a material impact on the industry as a whole - as long as we can stick through the downside there is a significant upside ahead of us.

      Would Not Recommend

      Oct 9, 2019 - Underwriter in Drogheda

      Pros

A lot of the people working there are great. The people doing the work bring a good atmosphere to the place. I had a good relationship with numerous people across various departments. For me personally, it was in a great location. This is relative to each person however with others living closer or further away.

      Cons

More or less everything else. If you have a second language, you are bullet proof. People that do far less work, at an extremely poor quality, can continue to coast by with little to no effort. While people that consistently go the extra mile get absolutely nothing to show for it and see then just expected to do more and more work. When they don't then, it becomes an issue. QA is non existent. There is 0 QA done across many departments. This leans in to what I said above. People can consistently do a terrible job and nothing is done about it. Even when you report it, nothing gets done. There are 0 bonuses or incentives also. Leadership is very poor. Very little of feedback you give gets taken into account, they aren't anywhere near as transparent as they think they are. There's constant misinformation and more or less lies told to employees. They pretend to care about the people working for them but the constant tone deaf announcements, treatment of staff, below average salary and other factors prove otherwise. The business is on a downward trend at the moment with staff leaving for various reasons. I cannot recommend working here.

      Wouldn’t recommend

      Pros

Nice Team Leader. Health and dental benefits. Free breakfast every Wednesday, free mineral drinks.

      Cons

Lack of communication, expected to know what to do and the processes without sufficient training. Mistakes are always pointed out but good work is not recognised. Unprofessional environment. No progression to grow within the company. Insecurity about job positions as redundancies have happened before. Not all employees get treated the same way. Some get away with a lot more than others. No bonus or recognitions.

Far from perfect but work being done

      Pros

Very flexible approach and TLs try there best to accommodate where they can The people is a big bonus, think yapstone would of lost alot more employees if it wasnt for the positive environment Location a big big plus for alot of employees including myself Met some lifelong friends working here

      Cons

Hate the feeling of only being a number, seen alot of good people leave and yapstone allowed it to happen No bonuses or anything to work towards, some people treat it like another day another dollar because of this Very quick to come down on you but not as quick to praise you, praise is very hard to come by Never feel fully safe in your job as everything is very hush hush Very annoying how it always seems at start of year we are doing well but we always miss our targets in the end, this is then taken out on hard working employees, you never see senior management take the hit Always hear about exploring new verticals but have been here a while now and we have still not taken on any new verticals except KIGO which appears to have gone down like a lead balloon as it never lived up to expectation and still hasn't

      Pros

Hard to think of any. Maybe the location. No travel to dublin. Thats about it.

      Cons

Has to be the worst place i have worked. Just another number. However if you under preform or get on with the right people you could land yourself a promotion. Team lead was disgraceful.

      Pros

A paycheck ( low wage ). Nothing else.

      Cons

DON'T DO THAT TO YOURSELF >>>> RUN RUN FAST - be prepared to be micro managed to the ground - managers do not care about employees, you are just a machine - Pension contribution is pitiful - they advertise medical cover but then you find out you have to contribute 20% towards it. same for gym membership they only pay the joining fee € 35 LOL - No benefits - don't dare trying to speak to a senior manager about an issue, it will be BY EMAIL but first they'd tell you they don't have time - a ''Senior Team Leader'' is very unfriendly, I have never seen her smile once. Nor approachable, no people's skills whatsoever - No flexibility. They don't understand people are not machines and life situations sometimes get in the way. Don't even think asking for a few hours of PTO at the last minute - There is a very serious staffing problem here, leading to agents burning out and leaving but not being replaced > vicious circle - workload is huge and you will be WATCHED and treated like a child
