      Pros

      It's a chance to work on real M&A transactions early. My goal is investment banking, and Valsoft gives exposure to acquisitions, valuation, financial analysis, and due diligence from the buy-side. I'll build technical skills that transfer directly to investment banking. Financial modeling, company analysis, and transaction execution are all valuable experience. The learning curve is steep. Working on multiple acquisitions means I'll likely learn more in a short period than in many traditional finance internships.

      Cons

      You'll be on the buy side, not advising clients. You won't get the same exposure to: sell-side processes, IPOs, fairness opinions, debt/equity capital markets, or client advisory.
