    Pros

    The staff with varying levels of experience and working in different departments are happy to help you out with any questions or problems you may have as well as integrated and involved time with management to increase your depth knowledge and the scope of what can be involved in projects.

    Cons

    IT & connectivity issues can hinder work and progress with current operations, although this is being worked on.

    Majority of staff are extremely genuine and good to work with

    Cons

    When speaking with other staff at SGN everyone sounds so downtrodden, underpaid and overworked seems the mantra here - old school managers that really need to be brought into this century - so many layers to the contracts here, no one is on the same which leads to a massive divide -

    Advice to Management

    You do have good staff here and really need to make this a fair place to work - educate the older colleagues that things have changed and time to get with a modern day office environment - salaries need to be looked at - seems to be no movement in salary for staff wishing to stay in the job their in and in to which they thrive - please look after your staff - a thank you sometimes goes such a long way for some that...

    Lovely colleagues, a couple of nice senior managers.

    Cons

    Manager and supervisor are bullies, constant sniggering and whispering. Genuinely horrible people. Will not praise any good work you have done unless told to do so by senior managers. No care for employees welfare, lack of compassion and absolutely no managerial skills between them. Extremely rude people and the admin manager doesn’t have a clue what jobs her staff do or how they’re done, relies on everyone else to do...

    I worked at SGN for less than a year

    Pros

    Team members are lovely, funny and most staff are nice.

    Cons

    Management are a joke. Bullying tactics. You’ll sit with no work to do, you can’t talk to any other members of staff without management moaning. You aren’t allowed to be sick either. Management will talk badly about you in front of your team members. Management use foul language freely and it’s all round unprofessional.

    Working here is interesting and keeps bringing new challenges. In my roll every day is different. I appreciate some rolls might not be as varied, however there are plenty of opportunities to progress and find new challenges within SGN.     Advice to Management

    I think that our preparations for the future are quite conservative. With "net-zero" on the horizon I think we need to take a more radical approach especially when taking into account the age of an asset.
