      A facade on borrowed time.

      Amazing team of individual contributors

      Cons

      - Preaches autonomy, but reality is a micromanaging nightmare - Assured of financial and job security on several occasions right before mass layoffs, which were labeled as an insulting “transformation”. - Founders both born with silver spoons in their mouths; zero knack for how to run a successful company - Lackluster CEO. Purchased a multi-million-dollar home during the layoffs - Cofounder thinks he’s hotter than sliced bread, but can’t come to an actual vision; doesn’t listen to the people he pays to do research - Expensive trips to Thailand and US for dozens of workers, lavish parties just before the layoffs. - Low quality and interest products. Haphazardly developed even though the research said otherwise

      Great job if you are perfect

      There are many: - Great team - Great environment - Able to grow and show what you are cable of - Flexible projects for the entire company - Good faith attempt from leadership to make you better

      Cons

      Not too many: - Leadership says they are always available but you are hard pressed to have them respond in a timely manner. - Leadership acknowledges the bad and rarely tells you what you are doing right. - Some requests can be a bit vague or avoiding an answer.

      Laid Off 40+ With No Warning

      Pros

      I thought RentSpree was an amazing company prior to how they handled the laying off of 40+ employees. Now, I believe the impression I was under was a false one. Management was unorganized and the only time we were connected inter-departmentally was when so many of us were called into a Zoom meeting to be laid off.

      Cons

      They will make you feel welcome, secure and stable; but that is not the case. Management will blatantly lie when asked about job security. They’re more concerned with the bottom line and overall profit than the well-being of their employees. Regardless of whatever they respond with under this review, that is the truth. Between the constant changes in policies, and the intermittent issues with systems, the job itself is stressful. If you do more than is required based on your job description, you may be able to stick around.
