Culture and ways of working done right!

Pros

- Onboarding starts from offer, and carries all the way through past when you start. Onboarding sessions where you learn about being a Swigger, the culture, agile working, the product. All these things you would expect to be common sense, done to perfect execution. - A flat structure, that truly is flat, which is enhanced by the company's culture, mindset and ways of working - Fellow Swiggers who truly feel like part of a community of people who want everyone to do well, and not pretending that 'we are a family' type place - The company really enables you to succeed in your role, and wants to embed in you to become a Swigger as your first priority, rather than hitting targets/OKRs/KPIs from the get go. Understand why they are the way they are first, and becoming a Swigger at heart first before doing anything else. - The onsite premises and benefits are just a cherry on top. Free breakfast, lunch and snacks helps take a daily headache and cost away. Onsite gym with awesome shower facilities, with instructors to come in to teach boxfit, HIIT, yoga, pilates etc. Open spaces to enable that free-flow, incremental working mindset. SwigHouses, SwigBus - all to help you to relocate and commute to work if you need assistance,

Cons

- I don't think this company and culture would suit everyone. If you are very much used to that 'corporate' world, and hierarchical structure, Portswigger wouldn't be a place for you. - The company can flex in exceptional circumstances when it comes to working from home, but the 5 days onsite working is a must if you are looking to embed yourself to become a true Swigger and adopt the culture.

Pros

I am so excited to be part of PortSwigger's journey. Friday’s all-hands meeting was unlike anything I’ve experienced before. It was urgent, energising, and crystal clear. We’re not tinkering around the edges here. We’re going all in on AI, and the company is giving us the tools and support to thrive. The message was bold and uncompromising: Change or Die. But what stood out even more was the positive framing. This isn’t about cutting jobs or automating people out of work. Quite the opposite. PortSwigger is investing in us, backing us, and making sure we’re equipped to succeed in a radically changing world. The AI bootcamps that are starting next week feel like a genuine lifeline. Every engineer is going to be trained in the latest AI-powered coding techniques. Every team across the company will go through workshops on how to make AI a core part of how we work. These aren’t optional extras. They’re a top priority, even above immediate delivery. What’s exciting is that this isn’t abstract or theoretical. We heard concrete examples of Swiggers already using AI to transform their work: building UIs faster, reducing test cycles from days to hours, even automating entire workflows. This stuff works. And now everyone’s being empowered to make it part of their own toolkit. What’s more, the tone of the meeting was refreshing. It acknowledged the fear and uncertainty that many of us feel. But it also gave us a reason to be hopeful. PortSwigger is offering real, practical support. Not just technical training, but help with the emotional and cultural shift too. This felt like a company that understands what real change takes. For me, the biggest takeaway is this: we are not just reacting to AI. We’re using it to leap forward, to do better work, faster, and with more impact. We’re not aiming to catch up, we’re aiming to lead. And we’re doing it together. The message was clear: no one gets left behind. This is a collective journey, and PortSwigger has our backs. We’re not being asked to adapt alone, we’re being trained, supported, and encouraged at every step. It’s rare to see a company move this decisively, while still putting its people first. But that’s exactly what’s happening. And I’ve never been more motivated to be part of it.

Cons

The pace of change can feel overwhelming, and some people may be struggling to process it all. There’s still a risk that expectations outstrip our capacity to adapt, especially if support doesn’t reach everyone evenly.
