Pros

Absolutely nothing, except some colleagues

Cons

If you’re looking for a workplace where you’re trusted, supported, and treated like a professional, look elsewhere. The culture is built around control rather than leadership. Employees are actively discouraged from socialising, to the point where even taking lunch together isn’t allowed. Instead of encouraging teamwork, the environment feels isolating and demoralising. Support from senior staff is virtually non-existent. You’re expected to go through them for everything, yet they’re rarely available when you actually need them. This creates endless bottlenecks, delays work unnecessarily, and leaves employees being held accountable for problems they have no power to solve. Poor planning is the norm. Everything is suddenly “urgent” at the last minute, often because of avoidable management failures. Rather than taking responsibility, the pressure is simply pushed onto everyone else. You’re expected to constantly drop everything to deal with manufactured emergencies. There is a clear imbalance of power, with some senior staff appearing more interested in maintaining control than enabling people to do their jobs. Initiative isn’t rewarded, communication is poor, and the lack of trust is obvious in day-to-day working practices. The result is a stressful, frustrating workplace where morale suffers, collaboration is stifled, and employees are set up to fail instead of being given the tools to succeed. There are far better employers out there who understand that treating people with respect and trusting them to do their jobs leads to better outcomes for everyone. Stay away

Cons

HIGH staff turnover No support or training Addressing your concerns leads to blame being shifted onto the employee Every single team member has unmanageable workload Your hours are not “9:30-5:30” and are expected to have no social life Everything is urgent No positive reinforcement No one is a team player (because everyone has so much to do) Constructive feedback is never taken on board despite there being a common theme Upper management do not communicate with each other You’re just a number - management do not care for you New starters leave within their probationary period because it’s that bad

Pros

The junior team is supportive, and the design team is friendly and works extremely hard despite consistently challenging conditions.

Cons

A long-standing issue at this company is poor staff treatment and a culture that prioritises external image over internal reality. Instead of addressing the root causes of low morale and high turnover, management focuses on how the company looks from the outside. Internally, very little changes and it shows. There is a constant revolving door of staff, making it difficult to build meaningful working relationships because teams rarely stay stable for long. New joiners quickly burn out, and talented people leave because the culture is unsustainable. Workload management is chaotic. Staff are frequently given tasks with incomplete information and unrealistic deadlines, then chastised when they can’t deliver the impossible. Junior employees often become the scapegoats, while the underlying issues (poor communication, weak leadership, and disorganisation) go unaddressed. The company is also extremely ungenerous with staff. Time off in lieu is given sparingly, even after long hours, and employees often have to chase repeatedly for owed days or reimbursed expenses. This creates a sense that employees' time and effort are not respected. Those who regularly go above and beyond are met with criticism rather than recognition, which only deepens frustration and disengagement. Exits are handled coldly and without appreciation. There is no acknowledgment of an employees contribution, just administrative confirmation and a frosty farewell. This further reinforces the impression that staff are seen as disposable rather than valued. Overall, the culture encourages people to do the bare minimum because going above and beyond leads only to more pressure, not appreciation. A company that is overly focused on the bottom line and stingy with basic staff care cannot expect long-term success or loyalty.
