I have been working at Ola full-time

    Pros

    - Interesting problems to solve - good work life balance - Good people to work with. - Some team members are very smart. _- Good to start career here

    Cons

-Extremely poor work distribution(Lead Data Science doing work of a junior data scientist) - Hikes are minimal(Good hike only for people in terms with the management). Negotiate a very high salary when you join. -Importance given to "foreign" degrees and Phd, though the productivity by Phds in the team has been 0. -Senior management involved in politics and showing poor projects as working great -Hiring one of poorest you just need to impress one guy rest of the interviews even if you don't know anything you will be hired. - Top leadership interested in improving their own brand value to get the next job. No contribution to the company.

    I worked at Ola full-time

    Pros

Impactful work and chance to work with people from fancy B schools. Solve very real and relevant problems.

    Cons

Non existent HR policies. No structure, very chaotic. For such a huge organization there is absolutely no structure/processes in place, focus is just on getting things done for the moment. You will be promoted or even spoken to only if you are a boot licker, otherwise you may as well be dead to people around you. Amount of trust people have on each other is zero. Bad for mental health, everyone is always stressed, scared of their higher ups, high BP and anxiety, frustration is in abundance, whoever you speak to says the same thing
