Poor leadership and impossible expectations create burnout
Pros
- if I had any I would put them here
Cons
- Poor high leadership- often rude to workers in lower down positions and will throw them under the bus at any given opportunity - Incredibly high work load and demands with impossible to reach targets which you will then be punished for not meeting despite management recognising targets are impossible to meet, - No work life balance- due to the work load to keep up you are almost forced to work long hours into the evenings and often weekends- which you will get no additional pay for or recognition. Yet if you are just 5 mins late for lunch you will have rude passive aggressive comments made to you - Commission scheme is a joke and completely unfair- you will be told you will earn commission all the time (you will not) if a company as your customer goes under or is bought out- you are treated like this is your fault and preventable and your commission is taken off you. -No recognition for hard work- many employees worked extremely hard and were trying to keep the ship from sinking but were ignored and overlooked, I can't remember once being told thank you or I was doing a good job despite numerous times doing extra hours (sometimes double the working week) covering 2 people's accounts and training new colleagues. - No training for new employees- if you join you will watch a few videos and shadow one or two people but management do not have the time to actually train you or help support you learn anything about the role- you will be reliant on your colleagues who are already rushed off their feet. -Very poor communication between departments and management- constantly resetting the goal posts with targets and KPIs and never discussing this with employees before implicating them - use working from home as a luxury despite advertising the role as hybrid- they monitor you constantly- yet it was proven we could work more effectively from home- but due to the KPIs not being met (the impossible ones) they took this off us with a days notice. And told us it was a punishment for our lack of success and abilities- annoyingly though management themselves decided they would still be hybrid after telling us we were all in this together. - No career progression- people I worked with who were more suitable for promotion overlooked all the time in favour of external due to cost cutting
