Pros

Notion is an exceptional place to work and stands apart as a truly special, thoughtful, and unique organization. The combination of an inspiring, game-changing product, a deeply thoughtful approach to people, spaces, and culture, and being surrounded by smart, caring people has created a workplace experience that exceeds all expectations. My time at Notion has been the most rewarding of my career, both personally and professionally. Here are some highlights: - *Product:* Getting to work within such an incredible tool is amazing. Testing features, improving processes and collaborating so easily - I'm proud to work for a product I genuinely adore. - *Culture:* The collaborative environment, brilliant minds, and genuine care for employee wellbeing create a workplace that feels uniquely special. The connections formed here transcend typical professional relationships. - *Autonomy:* The level of trust and ownership given to employees allows everyone to truly shape their work and make meaningful decisions that directly impact success. - *Spaces:* The Notion offices around the world are beautiful, warm, inviting and foster collaboration, creativity and community that make being in the office a delightful experience! - *Management:* Leadership at Notion is truly exceptional, approachable and highly engaged. There is a unique energy that flows from the top down. We're all builders at heart, deeply committed to in our work. - *Founder:* Ivan is an incredible founder and a very inspiring guy. His commitment to building both an outstanding product and a thriving company culture is evident in every decision.

Cons

- *Burnout:* Notion is undoubtedly a busy, fast-paced environment, and burnout is real. I'd love to see the company do a little more to create intentional recharge moments - whether through company-wide rest days, wellness initiatives, or simply encouraging people to truly disconnect.

Pros

Every client genuinely loves the product. Saying you work at Notion feels like telling people you work at the next Apple. The benefits and salary are competitive and rewarding.

Cons

Sales leadership here often feels strikingly immature. In the EMEA office especially, hiring practices can look more like a classmates-and-friends club than a merit-based process. In fact, one AE was promoted to Enterprise despite not hitting quota for an entire year. It seems being close with the managers — wedding invites, golf outings, and paddle clubs — can matter more than performance when it comes to promotions. The results speak for themselves: fewer than 10% of AEs are hitting, or even coming close to hitting, quota globally. Over the spring & summer, many leaders with 4–5 years at the company have headed for the exits — and departures like that usually don’t happen without a reason.
