Pros

Working at Jisc is a genuinely rewarding experience. The organisation offers excellent benefits, including competitive pay, medical insurance, generous pension provision and a very flexible approach to working from home. There is a real emphasis on work–life balance, with trust placed in people to manage their time in a way that works for them and for the organisation. What really sets Jisc apart, though, is the people. Colleagues are knowledgeable, supportive and collaborative, and there is a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. It feels like an organisation where your contribution is valued, your development is encouraged, and you can do meaningful work that makes a positive difference to the sector.

Cons

Jisc operates in a complex environment with a highly dispersed workforce, which can take time to navigate. Change is frequent, reflecting the pace of the sector and the ambition of the organisation, and that can sometimes feel challenging. However, this also creates opportunities to learn, adapt and continuously improve, and it suits people who enjoy variety, collaboration across teams, and working in a forward‑looking organisation.
