My target went up from an reasonable achievable £2000k a month to a ludicrous £5000 a month, during the beginning of a pandemic trying to sell advertising with an aging local newspaper was extremely difficult. I moved to a different company with a lower basic and since that move, even with the lower basic, I make at least £800 more a month where I am now. Unfortunately this job drove me to stress. Managers saying "you can do it", "you're a great salesman". Nah. I'm a true believer in, if a product is that good, you don't need to overcome any major objections. Even doing pre-coverage scripts before calls didn't eliminate objections. I'm sorry to say but my favourite time at this job was stuck at home furlough!
