Pros

GreenShape has always provided flexibility (key for a working mother), but during the past pandemic year+ our seamless transition to fully remote and understanding with online schooling for our children has been invaluable. I was able to maintain my job and my sanity!

Cons

With freedom comes responsibility. You need to keep on yourself to manage your time effectively and prioritize accordingly.

Pros

GreenShape is a woman-owned small business with a good industry reputation. Its size allows employees to experience and contribute to all aspects of the business and grow and expand their roles. It's a values-driven company in a dynamic industry, where employees can feel good about their contributions to the world. In particular, it's exciting to see the projects that GreenShape works on in DC. The work we do is very collaborative and new challenges and opportunities arise every day, making it a great place to learn and grow. Additionally, a culture of mentorship flourishes thanks to employees who have years of industry experience that they are eager to share. A flexible work schedule makes it easy to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

GreenShape uses a co-working space. It's not for everybody, but I quite like it because it allows us to mingle with other small businesses. The office management also provides free breakfast on Fridays, and hosts some fun events a couple times a month.

Pros

Being a consulting company, GreenShape gives amazing exposure. Perfect for work- life balance with great benefits, competitive pay and to top it off, some of the best people to work with. It is a boutique firm with variety of projects and prestigious clientele. Management is transparent, motivating, friendly and very helping. They really want you to grow as company is growing and always supporting if you want to pursue a skill-set or any certification (and yes, company pays for it as part of Benefits). Apart from day-to-day technical work, depending on one's interest, you can learn a great deal about Entrepreneurship and running a Business. Seniors are always open to suggestions, to try new and creative things, listening to your concerns and if reasonable then making changes too. Company uses some of the cutting edge technologies and software, meant for keeping up with ever-changing technical market. GreenShape has strong partnerships in industry, local and international, giving it an edge in Built-Environment & Sustainability market. Its not easy to make your mark and maintain it in today's industry for 13 years!

Cons

Can't really think of any! However, being a small size consulting business, one has to be ready for fast-paced, dynamic work environment and have sense of responsibility.
