      Great Internship Experience

      Pros

      I interned at GoLocal in their early years and got to experience the all hands on deck, fast-paced startup atmosphere. All interns were part of the team doing real work, jumping in on projects wherever help was needed, going out and shooting interviews and doing research for new stories. Overall positive experience and definitely prepared me for life after college.

      I guess the worst part was no pay

      Pros

      You get to work on projects that make a difference - whether it is stories the unveil corruption of helping to keep swimming pools open for city kids - it is great being part of a team. Ability to work with the smartest people. Doing something that matters. Amazing feedback - made me better at everything.

      Cons

      You have to do great quality work - every time. No place to hide on the projects as all of us needed to do great work - regardless of our role.
