      Pros

      Very flexible PTO, very hands off management style, great culture due to burner founders. Interesting and fulfilling work

      Cons

      Company is composed purely of individual contributors and then one exec who is not involved in execution, he’s just concerned with budget politics. This means nobody feels empowered to lead, and nobody knows who is responsible for what. Leadership has no experience in either data science or energy. Post acquisition there are still a lot of kinks to work out in HR.

      Get to work in a sector, energy storage and renewable energy, that's really making a positive difference for the world. Small company where you can get to make real decisions that shape the direction of the business. Learn a lot about new and innovative technologies.

      Cons

      Resources are limited and everyone has to cover a lot. The market is early so there's still ambiguity about the right market segments and products to focus on.
