Great Opportunity, Poor Company Organization
Pros
Many opportunities to learn on a grand scale about how to design and run an event of this stature.
Cons
Very poor support and poorly organized, from all the way up in upper management down to contract workers who were there for a location-based show. I heard horror stories of contractors not being provided with harnesses when they had to work in a high-intensity event set-up position that involved heights and long hours. On the flip side, I also experienced upper management changing direction very close to design deadlines and not providing my department with additional support. Sadly, most of my department was let go at the end of the season (between Christmas and New Years no less, not very "holiday spirit") and this was the most disappointing as I loved my amazing team.
