Pros

None but I strongly advise potential employees to carefully consider the cons before joining Invesp.

Cons

Wrongful Termination: Prior to signing a document related to my responsibilities within the company, I requested that it be adjusted to accurately reflect my actual role and duties. Despite my reasonable request, the document was not adjusted, and I was subsequently terminated for not signing it, despite my reservations. It is deeply troubling that Invesp would resort to termination instead of addressing and rectifying the concerns I had raised. Inadequate Severance Package: Despite dedicating three years of my career to Invesp, I was given a paltry severance package of only two weeks. The management's explanation for this meager offering was that they "don't typically offer severance," but because they supposedly valued my work, they decided to grant me two weeks' worth. This gesture is egregiously disproportionate to the commitment and loyalty I exhibited during my tenure. Disregard for Employee Welfare: Invesp's management displayed a blatant disregard for the welfare of its employees. During a discussion about rising inflation, we were shockingly told that it should not affect us because we were being paid in dollars. Such an insensitive and dismissive attitude towards the financial well-being of employees is utterly unacceptable and demonstrates a fundamental lack of empathy and concern. Lack of Transparency: Employees are discouraged from openly discussing their salaries, which fosters an environment of unequal treatment and hinders the fair distribution of compensation. Additionally, there appears to be a noticeable disparity in the benefits provided to different employees, further exacerbating feelings of inequity and dissatisfaction. While management claims to be transparent and committed to removing such disparities, I did not witness any concrete actions taken to address these issues during my employment. Insecure Employment: For the Egyptian team, Invesp operates without any employment contracts, exacerbating the sense of insecurity and power imbalance between the company and its employees. The absence of formal agreements leaves employees vulnerable to unfair treatment and exposes them to potential exploitation. Without a contract, there is no clarity on job security or basic employment rights. Lack of Fair Compensation: Invesp also failed to provide overtime pay and on-call compensation. Employees were expected to work outside of regular office hours without any compensation or recognition for the additional time and effort put in. This practice is exploitative and demonstrates a blatant disregard for the value of an employee's time and work-life balance.

Pros

Competitive salary. Supportive work environment. Really enjoyed working with some of the team members. Friendly and helpful colleagues. Last Friday of the month is off which adds to the work-life balance.

Cons

I wish there was more autonomy and trust when people mess up. Admittedly, I made a couple of mistakes and felt that my PM was giving me more directions than I like. There is a mix of interesting clients but a lot of the CROs want to land the big name clients. Would love a more clear bonus structure.
