Pros
Chance to build something from scratch if you have the ambition, WFH policy, HR team is quite approachable
Cons
Like mentioned, if you’re CEO’s brother or CTO’s buddy or at least has some connections with the C level, you are well protected. I have seen Quant who actually gets the work done was let go but those who do nothing are staying perfectly fine, promoting his fancy “trading algos and strategies” without delivering anything since he joined 2 years ago. CTO is the worst I’ve ever seen - pretends to be cool, but is very much political. Shuffling engineering resource all over the places, changing directions / starting / cancelling projects every other month, promoting his own buddies based on none noticeable contributions. Speaking of the CEO, as some reviews already mentioned, not a bad guy. But his brother(CMO or something?) Omg what he was trying to do was way beyond his ability. Sexy costody (if you know what I am talking about) lol Senior leaders promoted one of the managers in the hope that she could turn the game around. It was such a joke that she was fired only a few weeks later. This only reveals a tip of the iceberg in the most chaotic management I’ve ever seen in my whole professional life. Rolling layoffs. It’s a sinking ship. If you’re on it, get out.
