Pros
The work itself is actually interesting, and a lot can be learned about clinical research and the pharma industry. There are SOME really great people working there at low-to-mid level management who are knowledgeable and passionate. The rare project that goes smoothly is very satisfying. The company does have a lot of potential if some major restructuring can be done.
Cons
Horrible communication and direction. Little-to-no training offered, and what is offered is haphazard and sloppy. Extremely high turnover rate (I would guess 30-40%) - rather than offering support or training, employees are fired on a whim. When a department is jokingly referred to as the "revolving door" of the company, there's clearly a leadership problem. Management really is not connected with day-to-day operations and has little understanding of what support is needed. "Leadership" team is composed pretty much of people who have been there the longest - by no means the most qualified or best-suited people. They often seem to be barely keeping things together - entire department is constantly stressed and panicked. Very disorganized - company seems to be growing faster than it is able to really manage and everyone suffers as a result of poor leadership.
