Pros

Colleagues were the only positive thing about this job. Made some friends for life, but we all got out!

Cons

Everything about the job. Training - None existent Career Opportunities - None existent Management - Want your blood sweat and tears Pay - God awful On Call - You will be on call for EVERYTING, and you will be expected to sit at your at your home computer and have no life while you're on call. One example was when I got a call at 3am because the power had gone down at a standard broadband customers site. Then I was told by the MD the next day that I was not polite enough. This may have been because I was half asleep and can't fix a connecting if there is no power. That brings me on to the main reason you should not work at this company. The owner/MD. He is the first person to tell when the internet connection has a problem, because he will sit at his PC constantly refreshing HSBC's website watching his money. Or getting all the staff to come outside to look at his new car after rejecting any pay rise any staff asks for / deserves. The most shallow and unprofessional person I've ever met. When interviewing for staff he has rejected people on the fact they are to fat, looked funny, didn't like their shoes and they didn't like 80 synth. I also want to add that the 1 positive review on here is written by the owner.

Pros

- If you're a couple of years into your IT career you'll get some great experience which allows you to move on after 2-3 years to a much better company.. Bluelogic or Razorblue seem good MSP options. - You'll now get offered a decent wage as they're so desperate to convince staff to join. - You can manage to work 9-5 most of the time. - Office closes for Xmas - but you'll be expected to be on call whilst using your holidays

Cons

- Don't expect to get much time to complete a project, as soon as an invoice can be sent to the customer you'll be onto the next one. - If you're an engineer you'll be paid minimal amounts to be on call.. expect a lot of calls from 1 man band businesses at 4 am complaining about speed test results - Holidays were reduced from 25 days to 23 with no discussion - Christmas bonus seemed to stop one year because the MD spent all the profit at year end on anything Apple. - You'll be told what you want to hear and then management will go back on their word. - There is no training on offer. - Expect to hear that "you need to make more time" rather than employing additional staff.

Pros

Get to experience a lot of technologies and use lots of kit. Most of the time 9 -5. Christmas off - unless your an engineer, then you will be on call while on holiday. One hour for lunch, if you get chance to take it. Free water.

Cons

Workload - high, as others have said, once the invoice could be sent you were onto the next. On call - Expected to be sat at your laptop at all times, unless someone forgets to change the out of hours message from being closed at Christmas. Expect to be humiliated in-front of the entire office if you make a mistake. Holiday - 23 days, 3 of which had to be taken at Christmas, to then be on call. No idea where the review of 26th Nov 2018 has got 30 days from. Things went down hill when a senior manager left and wasn't replaced. Don't expect any training that costs money, also the company isn't accredited to sell most of the products they sell! When you leave you will be blamed for everything that goes wrong. No time for internal projects so you are just praying the internal infrastructure doesn't fall over. No company mobiles, engineers & sales staff expected to use personal phones for business. Pay rises promised then delayed and delayed. Communication from management was shocking. 'Everyone is replaceable' - The MD's attitude to a lot of staff leaving, not sure how well that's working out. Asking your staff to leave positive reviews might not have been your best idea Mark.
