Pros

I seriously can't think of any!

Cons

Where do I start? There are so many! 1. No actual employees. They hire interns and exploit them by making them work nights and weekends. The stipend for all this is Rs. 2000. Yes, you read that right! 2. No website because they don't have their own projects/ portfolio to showcase. They use fine work done by other agencies in their own pitches calling the work theirs (Digixito & Aagneya are few of them). Frauds! 3. The founder guy is abusive and short-tempered. You can't even complain after being abused because again, there's no HR. Just two founders exploiting interns and making cheap money! 4. No appreciation even if you crack a project. No credits for anything you do. 5. You'll have to work extra hours but if you're 10 minutes late the other day, it's a damn big issue and your day is ruined! They eat up your personal space at an extent that you'll feel like being harassed. Also, forget work life balance and weekends!

Pros

Working at Yellow Straw Advertising in a business leadership role has been a valuable experience, particularly because of the company’s ideas-first and insight-driven approach to marketing and communication. What stands out is the focus on thinking before execution. Campaigns and solutions are built on consumer insights, brand understanding, and business context rather than just trends or surface-level creativity. This creates more meaningful work for both clients and teams. Leadership is accessible and open to discussion, which helps foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and learning. Team members are encouraged to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and take responsibility for outcomes. There is genuine exposure to strategy, client interaction, and cross-functional collaboration, which helps people grow beyond their job titles. The agency environment suits professionals who want to build real skills, understand the “why” behind the work, and contribute to business outcomes rather than just deliver tasks.

Cons

As with most growing agencies, the pace can be demanding and priorities may shift as the business evolves. This environment may not be ideal for those who prefer rigid structures or minimal change. Processes are improving, but adaptability is important.
