An expectation that you work a lot of overtime because this dept was short-staffed. No real recognition for it.
The only people who get "recognized for their hard work" are a select few that are management's favorites.
Very little flexibility with your schedule. I guess they'd rather have people quit than work the schedule around so that people actually get to see their families.
The manager in my department didn't "believe in" mental health days.
Not enough PTO.
Not compensated well enough for a job that requires you to actively been working your entire day.
I was not allowed to finish out my two weeks. Despite being nothing but a good employee who never caused problems or came in late, I was told that would be my last day. I wasn't allowed to go pack up my things or say goodbye to the people I had worked with. Kind of weird. I get that this is a business that handles very sensitive information and they'd like to avoid disgruntled employees, but still.
