Pros

- Some great people who are smart and passionate about their work (but overworked). - (not really a pro) A part of a nice office (but has a "step child" feeling not completely inclusive of JWT culture. Not many there know what JWTInside does so you feel like a stranger in your home)

Cons

- This is not an agency that feels rewarding or remotely fun. Won't be winning a "best place to work" award anytime soon. Even with the few smart, passionate people it lacks energy and life. Unfortunately you only get a sense of that when you are there. The end of the day you want to run home. - There is no clear agency vision or direction. That effects everyone. People are chasing their tails, putting out fires, running like chickens with their heads cut off for naught. - The creative output in some areas is not clear. Some smoke and mirrors in what they are providing clients and it is painfully obvious. - New Business is rogue in what they are selling and disconnected from the agency. That is why SOW are messy and people are overworked. - Additionally and most importantly, bad behavior, hostile and disrespectful environments are tolerated by upper management. That is dangerous and a thriving corporate culture will never exist in the current toxic environment. - A few are hiding behind made up titles and roles which is baffling. - Some are collaborative and want the agency to win. But they are outweighed by a toxic, backstabbing few and it hurts them all. - Non existent HR that does not respond to any requests (Irony that they are in the talent acquisition/retention internal communication space). - On boarding is not clear on agency offerings - you have to figure it out on your own. - Feels very old school and a relic of the past in many places - Would not recommend anyone I know to work at this agency.

Pros

Great views. Centrally located in Los Angeles. Nice people and clear communication (including everyone in leadership). As far as advertising work goes, they keep reasonable hours and expectations regarding timelines. And as a writer, I find a bit higher purpose when working on campaigns aimed at employment and recruitment efforts -- as opposed to selling another widget to another whoosit.

Cons

A little quiet and unsexy (but those could easily be pros, too).

Pros

- Smart people I actually enjoy working with. - A willingness to help across offices and departments. - Small enough that you can contribute immediately and gain exposure to many different types of projects. Can get a lot of experience quickly. Everyone at all levels gets their hands dirty so you don't have any ivory tower issues. - An industry in transition so there is an inherent opportunity for continuous learning. - A commitment to understanding unique client challenges and solving them with creative solutions versus selling. - Flexible environment once you have proven that you are trustworthy and deliver. - Generous holidays.

Cons

- It can be a tough industry due to limited budgets that can limit creativity. - Client challenges can be similar. - At times there can be a lack of process when doing new things and training is relatively limited. If you need tons of guidance it may not be the best place for you.
