Pros

One can learn a lot by moving into different roles and taking up new assignments. Work life balance is average but can be better. Lot of onsite opportunities.

Cons

Low salaries and hikes. Some people in the senior management levels run their business units like their little power houses or kingdoms and are not open to new ideas or exploring alternatives which frustrates customers (many clients have exited and/or are in the process of exiting). These politicians only want to please their boss without any care for the people under them who do the real work and keep them safe. Attrition is rising consistently at all levels, top-down communication isn't effective or nearly absent. Managers and leaders dont accept feedback and cannot be trusted. HR is a joke and a complete waste. Someone who has clearly flouted rules and policies is protected due to his/her rapport with HR no matter how serious the offense is. Hikes are poor and those who get good hikes get it mostly due to popularity or likeability and not merit. High amount of politics and everything is numbers and sometimes things are done only for numbers without any common sense being applied.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
