Pros

The job is remote, I do require that.

Cons

This position is a 1099 position. Nothing ran smoothly. Upon hiring we were told that we would make commission. That lasted about 3 months. Then you would receive about 150 - 200 calls coming over the dialer. Most days you may get 2 people that answer and either hang up or say they are not interested. This went on for months. Then one day you receive an email that the hours are cut in half. Then payday comes around and no 1099 employees get paid. So they promise you the next day, but no paycheck? Now they pay all the W2 employees, but not 1099 employees. They treat 1099's like a second hand citizen. They had a big company meeting, where one of the principals announced that all W2 employees will get paid for July 4th holiday. Now if the 1099 employees they can get paid but, they have to work. So you show up for work and it is announced that no one would be working that day? What a mess of a company. If you are a 1099 employee they think and treat you like you are less than. No benefits or time off that is paid. I feel for the single mothers that work there. Some live paycheck to paycheck. So for some it is a crisis when they don't pay on time. They sent out Chromebooks that didn't have enough ram to support Salesforce. All you saw in the chats all day is my Salesforce is stuck I have to reboot. They didn't tell the 1099's that the Chromebooks won't work. They let this go on for about a year. Nothing works right there. So glad to be gone.

Pros

Supportive management and team members who genuinely want to help you succeed. Training is thorough and sets you up for success when speaking with members. Positive work culture that values teamwork and empathy! Management is very approachable and open to feedback! Meaningful work where I'm apart of a team that connects with members and help make a difference in their community.

Cons

Pay could be more competitive compared to similar roles.

Pros

Mostly remote, provided equipment for the most part.

Cons

Remarkably poorly managed, manager was not prepared to lead a team, provide support, or receive any feedback. In person events did not correspond to our place of residence like we were told it would leading to higher than expected travel expenses. Management refused to be held accountable for constantly shifting goal posts and would be quick to punish missing increasingly unachievable goals. Management seemingly didn’t understand statistics and would blindly insist that more calls would eventually equal a higher engagement percentage. It never did. Insisted on unhealthy work/home balance. Encouraged recruiting friends and family members for free volunteer work to meet unrealistic goals. Encouraged to work odd or irregular hours that were not in the hiring language. Employees were seen as disposable, and would be scapegoated for management level failures. Shady hiring practices (contract vs full time etc) Opportunities to climb internally were given mostly through nepotism
