Pros

Good Pay. Benefits okay. Relaxed work environment. Could possibly take off and be a part of something big.

Cons

Expect phone calls and texts from owners before 7am and well in to the evening. Especially if something gets them going, you will be contacted with rage. Owners have no idea how to delegate or structure their business. They are unwilling to give responsibilities to staff. Gave clients to sales staff yet turned around right before a sale and took them back only to not pay the sales person commission. If you join the company, expect to be there a year. Have multiple tasks assigned to you that are not your responsibility. Owners use business to show off on all their travel with their family and try and "keep up with the Jones" but their business has no direction. They can't read financial reports and had no clue of the concept of forecasting sales. And when they saw foretasted numbers, they let people go. They have done this year after year.

Wet Paint Group Response
6y
As the Founder of the wet paint group, I would like to respond to this inaccurate negative portrayal of our agency. Our number one value is integrity and we live it out loud every day. We treat our clients and team members as if they are guests in our home--with respect, gratitude and grace. We are the first to admit when we make a mistake and own up to it and do whatever necessary to make it right. We hold ourselves and our team to a very high standard of accountability and performance. This is how we have earned our reputation as a leader in our industry. When a team member does not contribute as promised, we make adjustments and take necessary steps to move us forward. Unfortunately, when you make the difficult decision to terminate an employee based on performance, they sometimes become vindictive and post misinformation like above in an attempt to harm others. If you ever have a question or concern about the wet paint group, please feel to contact me directly at doug@wetpaintgroup.com Thank you for allowing me to provide you with our perspective. Sincerely, Doug Chorpenning

Pros

The company has established an outstanding reputation in a short period of time as a genuine innovator in our space. wpg has grown 100% year over year due to the hard work of everyone on our team and there is no limit to our potential. The owners are nothing like what was depicted in the previous review. They are very kind and supportive in all they do, but they do not tolerate poor performance or a negative attitude, which only inspires me to do my very best every day and demonstrate true professionalism. I only see great things happening at wet paint and am excited to be part of the journey!

Cons

wpg is a small start up company, which means they have limited resources, governance and managerial bandwidth. So, we all chip in and do whatever necessary to advance our objectives. The owners are certainly spread thin and at times are not able to provide the daily oversight/management that I would ideally like to receive. However, I knew what I signed up for and am so happy that I joined this company. Everyday presents its own set of challenges, but I get to be part of the solution. Being a part of an entrepreneurial organization can be frustrating and it's not for everyone. If you need solid structure and clear marching orders, wet paint might not be for you. I have seen tremendous improvements in SOPs and leadership over the last year and know how extremely dedicated the owners are to providing extraordinary customer service and creating a collaborative/supportive company culture.
