Pros

I worked as a Wellness Specialist/ Sales Associate - Great customers - I enjoyed working with people from around the country with their health issues. There were many, many repeat customers who had seen major health improvement. - Learned a lot - If you're interested in natural health and nutrition, you'd learn a lot working here. - A product line I could stand behind - working in the nutritional supplement field, you learn there is a low of crap out there. I still take Wellness Resources products myself and recommend to friends. - Customer service experience - Got experience problem solving and helping with more difficult situations. - Nice work environment, nice office with a lot of windows. - Small work environment, which I liked. - Benefits (full time) included paid days off, health insurance, IRA, and a great supplement discount. - Opportunity for performance-based raises. - One reviewer said they were belittled by mgmt in front of other employees. I never saw anything like that happen. That person also said they worked until 7:30 often. Maybe it was many many years ago (or mabye they never worked there), because all employees left by 6:00 when I worked there. It was pretty low stress.

Cons

It is a smaller company. If you're looking to climb the corporate ladder, this isn't the place.

Pros

- The pay is okay for an entry level position - You will get a lot of experience dealing with difficult people

Cons

- No benefits - Family owned so no room for advancement. If you are not part of the family you are a disposable liability, rather than a potential asset. - Very high turn over - The job description was very different from the work that people actually end up doing. Example, sales employees are expected to pack shipping boxes and clean the office. - Employees are not treated well, I believe this is the main reason they have not been able to grow their business. ** Example: employer would play favorites , pitting employees against each other making for a very mentally unhealthy work environment. ** Employer would belittle and berate staff infront of other employees - They overwork their salaried employees without additional compensation. Example: employees regularly (3 to 4 days a week) worked from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM without additional compensation. Hourly employees where able to leave on time and the salaries employees were expected to pick up the slack. Salaried employees end up working 50 to 60 hours a week.
