Pros
Entrepreneurial environment, good commissions, good training. In for career agents, nice 401(k) match, pension plan. Very professional environment but lots of freedom to run your own practice. A great place for seasoned advisers and agents to hang their hats. Minimal overhead expenses and minimal start-up expenses required.
Cons
Typical challenges that come with insurance and investment sales - 100% commission (good and bad), long sales cycles, long learning curves and generally low pay in the first few years.
