The leadership are talking about how the organization is going to accelerate. More, faster, better. Well, pay at Waystar hasn't kept pace with inflation and we are going to have to come back into the office because supposedly that is the only way we can all be creative innovators, irregardless if that is in your job description. That will be costing time, money, and freedom as far as I'm concerned. And I'm far from the only one. In fact, a whole lot of us made choices due to the remote option that are now going to mean back to office is way more expensive than it was when we were going in before. They are beginning to depart from their values. They say they want honesty and it used to that way but now they want yes men. The vibe has shifted to Boomer dad energy: they know better than we do what's best for us. We are all supposed to believe working remotely is bad for us. (Maybe it is for some but we can be trusted to judge for ourselves any more. It's not bad for me. I've never been better, in fact.) They seem to be repeating the same things different ways many times and in hope that we will start to believe their words instead of our own minds. It was the best place to work but right after we gave that honor to Waystar and they got the best place to work award, they started with all these terrible changes.
