Pros

My favorite part about working at WattTime was that no matter what I was doing, I knew that because I was helping move WattTime forward, I was doing my part to help solve the energy crisis humanity currently faces. I loved how the organization constantly stayed mission driven. The leadership was consistently open to any ideas from any employee on how to improve the organization and what might be the best steps forward. They included interns on high level calls, and put us through a sales training program which will certainly aid me in my future endeavors. I also learned so much about the complex systems surrounding energy that I hope to navigate when I leave college. The culture is inviting, collaborative, and rewards those that make an effort to go above and beyond. The office space is a treat as well; free coffee and a rooftop garden were more than enough to make me happy to go to work everyday. The time I spent working at WattTime certainly added value to my life, and gave me clarity on what I want to pursue in the future.

Cons

I worked at WattTime over a year ago, and back then I could see some lacking in organizational leadership. Sometimes it felt like they had hired too many interns and didn't really have enough work to give to their workforce. This, however, lead to opportunities for me to think creatively on how to add value to the organization, and many times I would be assigned tasks just because I had asked a question. Another personal con was that because WattTime's mission has such long term goals, I never got to see the fruition of partnerships I helped establish.

Pros

*They're focused on tangible solutions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, using both non profit and corporate partnerships to make the biggest impact possible *Everyone I've interacted with is fully bought into the company mission and is working there for the right reasons * They are growing and evolving as an organization at the same time that a lot of their work is coming to fruition in the market *They're doing a good job of hiring a diverse workforce and have a flexible work culture

Cons

*It is a small start up culture with people spread throughout the country so if that work culture would bother you then it might not be a good fit
