Cons
If you want to make money here be prepared to give up your life. You HAVE to go where they tell you, work the area assigned to you, stay at the hotel they choose (you have to pay for it too). You are required to do a morning AND nightly meetings, check in constantly, on top of a 10hr work day that consists of driving around knocking doors (regardless of weather conditions) and convincing people to buy your product. If you question anything, or bring any concerns you have you are told you are being negative and then given a speech on how the methods work and that maybe you're just not trying hard enough. If you're struggling they don't help you improve, they just tell you to keep practicing your scripts and tell you that's what the meetings are for. The leads they give you are not even leads... they are current policy holders with the company or sister companies, or terminated policy holders.
The information is often incomplete so you have to verify every contact. And they can't tell you how they source cold leads. You are honestly better off using yellow pages! (I'm not even kidding)
If you want to network and source your own leads and referrals you have to do that on your own time. Monday 10am - Thursday 9pm you are required to be in the field -the area assigned to you. So to actually make money here you need to be a slick talker, a yes man, and work every day.
