Poor leadership and inexperienced management with weak people skills. Leadership often appears more focused on authority than supporting or developing employees. Long-serving employees are not valued. Staff who have dedicated 10+ years to the company can be retrenched with little recognition or appreciation for their loyalty and contribution, leaving employees feeling insecure and disposable. Employee feedback is rarely acknowledged, and decisions are often made without considering the impact on the people doing the work.
