Pros
I’ve never been more trusted in my role than I am here. At my last job my manager was constantly breathing down my neck, sending emails, and coming by just to “check how things are going.” It was awful. I lived in a constant state of anxiety. Here, I’m told what needs to get done and when it needs to get done by and then left alone to do it. It’s much less stressful and 100% my preference.
Cons
On the flip side of that, when you DO need them, they’re not the most approachable. I don’t feel entirely comfortable expressing myself to senior management and giving valuable feedback about things I’ve noticed that could be improved.
