Pros

I had some really great co-workers at the company

Cons

I was part of the largest department in the company, the “Concierge Team” and it was alarming how horribly it treated and managed. During the Covid pandemic I was told by management that they fired 14 employees on the same day. Not laid off, not furloughed, but that they sat down 14 employees and fired them (some that have been with the company 2+ years). Now they are hiring again. This pandemic has shown many companies’ true colors and Verse.io is no exception. Some takeaways: - They blame everything on being a start up, but were founded in 2013 - The rare time they asked for anonymous feedback from employees, they ignored all the negatives and blamed it on bad apples/grudges (still doubtful the CEOs read any of them) - Senior employees that helped grow the company from nothing, ended up walking away and in some cases with little to no notice because of pure frustration. - Two large group firings in the past 3 years. One was titled an official layoff and the other was a firing of 14 employees on the same morning (management privately told employees it was layoffs). The company a few months later is now hiring again. - No manager or director should ever have an company wide nickname of “scary” Stay away if you want any job stability or want to work for a company that genuinely cares about your well being. Verse.io is not the company for you. ALSO - please take notice the most recent reviews were left be CURRENT employees in the marketing department. Read into it what you will.
