Pros
Great benefits, matching 401k up to 10k. Dental, Vision, FSA, child care, insurance for whole family, short term disability, parental leave for both parents, stock grants every year, bonuses depending on how the company is doing; they hire from in house first so when job openings become available, you have a lot of room for growth and applying; they offer so many discounts outside if verizon, it’s like a dream. I haven’t seen any other employer tied in with everything verizon is; tuition assistance; Cares about mental health
Cons
Very strict, cannot miss more than 2 days without using fmla or short term disability which has to be a minimum of 8 days so if you use sick time to care for kids in the beginning of the year, and you have no more sick time, you cannot call off for yourself if you’re sick not even for a day unless you open an fmla claim which has to be approved by a third party or else you risk getting out on a final. That’s really the only con
