Pros
I loved working at VHR and was sad to leave the company when my husband's job forced us to move to the US. The office environment is friendly, open and upbeat and it inspired me to not only work hard but to enjoy what I did every day. A healthy breakfast was provided on-site daily, and after-work drinks were paid for by the Director at least once a month. VHR brings together a great team of ambitious and motivated individuals, all of whom I got along great with. The two directors always ensure that hard work is rewarded and that staff are engaged, challenged and aware of their pathway to promotion. There are regular team outings, and the team plays together just as much as they work together - there is a really nice balance there! The office is positioned in a great location with amazing views of Tower Bridge. The pay is very fair and the bonus structure/commission scheme is outstanding, so when you put in the maximum effort then you know you'll receive excellent compensation. No work environment if perfect all the time, but it was great to know that whenever I had an issue, I could talk to HR, my Manager or even one of the Directors, and they would do everything within their power to sensitively resolve the issue. VHR really does listen to the concerns and suggestions of its staff and is always striving to improve the way it does things. This has got to be one of the nicest places to work in London, particularly if - like me - you are focused on progressing your career.
Cons
No cons at all for me, but if you're looking for a job where can sit back and procrastinate all day then this dynamic workplace isn't the one for you.
