Pros

If you value hard work, success, and adequate compensation, there is no better place to achieve these things than here at Union Square Media.. We prefer to promote from within, and we give you every tool in the shed to reach your next level of personal success. We don't micro-manage, we don't hire people whose hands we need to hold, but to that end your level of success is directly dependent on you. Those who can accept that personal responsibility are the ones who flourish. If you are that person who believes in themselves, one who feels that they just need an outlet for the world to see, we provide that here. We've heard our team's requests and we continually implement things to improve work-life balance such as work from home days, wellness credits, company retreats and other things to show our people that we care about them because they are truly our greatest asset. Reading the negative reviews disappoints me of course, but don't forget about the 40+ people who have worked here for 3-10 years, I'm speaking on our behalf because that's what you have behind the scenes. A ton of happy people in a company experiencing explosive year after year growth, working hard, getting rewarded and enjoying their lives.

Cons

Not for the faint of heart.. you will be tested. Self-sufficiency and an iron-clad work ethic are a firm requirement.

Pros

Company set a rate for contract work and then tried to change the rate after the work was complete, they said it wasn't what they were looking for. But they still asked me to sign a release so they could use it. So the pros are it's a great place to work if you don't like getting paid!

Cons

Not being paid is a pretty big con. Company offered me less than originally agreed upon saying it wasn't usable, but still asked me to sign a release. If the work completed was actually unusable, they wouldn't need the release.
