Pros

Opportunity to learn, most employees are friendly, and benefits (vacation and sick time, insurance) are reasonable. UTH is trying to implement a career path for Administrative Staff, other positions are in the pipeline, supposedly.

Cons

Pay is not competitive with other institutions in the TMC. Limited opportunities for advancement. Contract parking in the TMC is expensive and increases yearly. Evaluations are based solely on supervisor's input and if you "meet expectation" or above you can get a 1-4% raise.

Pros

Respect between colleagues and bosses

Cons

The pay is not very competitive, but it is only a student research assistant position and is more about the experience
