Pros
Compensation and benefits are pretty good, most fellow employees are great, easy work, casual atmosphere and dress code.
Cons
Toxic management at the department level and lax/absent leadership and management further up the chain. No guidance, mentoring, goal setting, or actual supervision by supervisors. Department level managers more concerned with fighting each other than getting the work done. HR complaints grossly mismanaged at the department level and completely ignored by higher level management and HR for months. No opportunity for advancement - they'll recommend you for promotion to the next level in your annual employee review, but that promotion never happens. Outdated computer/IT systems - frustrating for those whose main function is computer work. We keep picking up new projects and business, but it's apparently impossible to hire new employees in some of the departments, so you've got 2 people doing the work of 10, which is an unsustainable manning structure.
